The event normally takes place in May, but due to the instability of health conditions, organisers have decided to reprogram the competition to June. Now, we can expect the legendary La Baule show to take place from the 10th to the 13th of June 2021 at the François André Stadium.

Recently, FEI authorities decided to extend the shutdown of horse competitions in Europe due to the outbreak of the EHV-1 virus. This has caused many events to reprogram. This has been the case of the Dutch Masters; now taking place later on in April.

The first leg of the European Division of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup circuit takes place in La Baule. This venue welcomes top showjumping riders with different categories that go from CSI 1* to CSIO 5*.

The best of 8 nations compete in a spectacular show with natural and traditional fences. To top this all, the Derby of La Baule is the only one with a CSIO 5* qualification and a grand total prize money of 650,800€.

On the 10th of June it will be decided what riders will start the spot counter for the world ranking. The first highlight takes place on Friday 11th June with the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of France: a unique team class in this country.

Saturday 12th of June will also be filled with emotion as it includes the Derby of La Baule. To top this all off, the event ends on the 13th of June with the Longines Grand Prix of the City of La Baule. This event like no other brings together the top 50 elite riders and their best horses.

“Like all the organizers of sports competitions and actors of the event industry, we follow closely the evolution of the virus and the governmental measures attached to it.” Said Pierre de Brissac, president of the Longines International Jumping of La Baule. “This decision has been taken for the sole purpose of giving the show a chance to be maintained in order to allow the best riders and horses in the world to count on a preparatory step in this Olympic year.”

We will be seeing the best riders competing at The Longines International Jumping of La Baule, one of the main events in showjumping and all equestrian sports.
