This past week, the city of Fort Worth (Texas, United States) served as the epicenter of the global equestrian world with the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final and the FEI Dressage World Cup Final, which saw Kent Farrington and Becky Moody emerge as the stars of the show—the new Indoor World Cup champions in their respective disciplines.

Becky Moody Delivers a Freestyle to Remember

In Dressage, Britain’s Becky Moody and her beloved Jagerbomb claimed the title after delivering a freestyle of the highest caliber, earning a score of 88.33%—her personal best to date. In their debut at a World Cup Final, the pair presented a highly technical freestyle, featuring demanding choreography that was perfectly synchronized with the music, connecting with the audience from the very first moment.

The competition, held in the impressive Dickies Arena, took place in a spectacular atmosphere, with the stands erupting during the transitions to the trot and the most technical exercises.

Rounding out the podium were American Christian Simonson, second with Indian Rock after scoring 83.81%, and Poland’s Sandra Sysojeva, who placed third with Maxima Bella with a score of 80.77%, on a podium where all three pairs surpassed the 80% mark.

Kent Farrington Finally Wins His First World Cup

In show jumping, the stands were on the edge of their seats right up until the final round. American Kent Farrington, currently ranked number two in the world, finally secured his long-awaited title after a consistent week and a nail-biting final day.

Riding Greya, a 12-year-old Oldenburg mare, Farrington kept his cool during the two decisive rounds set at 1.60 meters. After a demanding first round, everything was still up for grabs heading into the final round, where the American rode a clear round to secure the victory.

Germany’s Daniel Deusser finished second after staying in contention until the very end with Otello de Guldenboom, while American Katie Dinan rounded out the podium thanks to two clear rounds on the final day with Out of the Blue SCF.

For Farrington, this victory holds special significance, as, despite having competed in numerous finals throughout his career, the title had eluded him until now. The consistency of his mares throughout the week was key to positioning himself for victory and finishing the job when it mattered most.

A Week of Top-Level Competition in Fort Worth

The Finals held in Fort Worth brought together the best horse-rider pairs on the international scene and featured days of competition at the highest level in both dressage and show jumping, with technical courses, high-quality performances, and an electric atmosphere that lasted all week.

With victories by Becky Moody and Kent Farrington, another edition has come to a close, demonstrating why the World Cup remains one of the most demanding and prestigious events on the international calendar.
