The countdown to TSCHIO Aachen 2026 is already underway, and the CSI5* entries have been revealed, confirming a top-class event. From 22 to 24 May, the arenas at Allianz Park will once again bring together many of the best in international show jumping in a shorter format, yet without compromising on the sporting challenge in the slightest.

This year’s German event will boast a line-up that will be hard to match. A total of 60 riders and 167 horses will represent 18 different countries, with virtually all the current leaders in the FEI rankings present at Soers. In fact, the competition will feature almost the entire world’s Top 25, something rare even on the major international stages.

One of the big names will be Scott Brash. The Briton, the only rider to have won the Rolex Grand Slam, will arrive in Aachen accompanied by Hello Folie, Hello Jefferson and Hello Mango. His presence always generates excitement in an arena where the pressure and technical standard make all the difference from day one.

Joining him will be another of the current circuit’s leading figures, Richard Vogel. The German will be bringing a strong team comprising United Touch S, Cardentos, Phenyo van het Keysersbos and the young Baxxter 4 for the young horse classes. Vogel is one of the most consistent riders on the international scene and will once again be competing in front of his home crowd at one of the world’s most iconic venues.

The German delegation will be particularly large and competitive. Christian Kukuk, the reigning Olympic champion, will compete with Checker 47, Fantasia de Wy and the young Elvita Z. Alongside him will be historic names and regulars on the big stage such as Marcus Ehning, Daniel Deusser, Hans-Dieter Dreher, Sophie Hinners and Maximilian Weishaupt.

France will also be sending several of its leading riders. Simon Delestre will arrive with Golden Boy DK and I Amelusina R 51, whilst Julien Epaillard will compete with Fringan de Vesquerie and Le Coultre de Muze. They will be joined by Kevin Staut, another regular at major international events.

The United States will once again field a very strong line-up led by Kent Farrington, the current world number one, who will compete with Descartes SR and Greya. The American team will also feature Laura Kraut, McLain Ward, Karl Cook and Lillie Keenan.

Representing Switzerland, two of the circuit’s most competitive pairs will be returning. Martin Fuchs will defend last year’s victory alongside Leone Jei, Conner Jei and Lorde, whilst Steve Guerdat will compete with Lusso Gih Z and Venard de Cerisy, as well as the young Crystal 28 in the YH classes.

Also notable is the presence of Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, who will ride Glamour Girl, Qasirah van de Reistenhoek and Catniss Four C.

The list of entered horses also features some of the biggest names in the sport today. Checker 47, United Touch S, DSP Chakaria, Ermitage Kalone, Leone Jei, Grandorado TN N.O.P. and Rolex Ter Leydonck will all be present at an event that combines experience with an exciting new generation of young horses.

Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix will once again be the highlight of the weekend. Winning in Aachen is one of the greatest sporting achievements for any show jumper, which is why Friday’s and Saturday’s qualifying rounds will be of enormous importance. Even the slightest mistake can prove decisive on a course where errors come at a high price.

In addition to the CSI5*, the programme will include the traditional MERKUR CASINO-Cup Jump & Drive, one of the most spectacular displays of the competition, featuring leading figures in carriage driving such as Boyd Exell, Bram Chardon and Dries Degrieck.

With just a few days to go before the competition begins, Aachen is already buzzing with the atmosphere of a major event. Everything points to it being, once again, one of the major highlights of the international show jumping season.
