5 reasons why you should enjoy the Masters of Chantilly
EEM announces the return of the Masters of Chantilly with Rolex after their contract with Longines ended earlier this year.
In the middle of the global pandemic and with the cancellation of the Masters Series, Christophe Ameeuw, president and founder of EEM decided to reinvent the most exquisite event of the equestrian world.
The result is the revival of the Masters of Chantilly, with the partnership of Rolex. From the 8th to the 11th of July the Masters will arrive in the capital of the horse world in France bringing together the best riders and horse riding fans. The outdoor show jumping will take place in the unique Château de Chantilly and its Great Stables.
So, what makes this event so important and why should we enjoy it? Find out our top 5 good reasons to be part of it!
Reason 1: The best equestrian sport
During four days, the Masters of Chantilly bring together the world’s best riders for a competition around multiple classes. The highlight of the event is with no doubt the Rolex Grand Prix 1.60m with a prize money of 300000€. This will be held on the 11th of July.
The first day will be composed of 5 competitions with a maximum height of 1.35m to get riders ready for the upcoming action. Friday 9th of July will bring more action with the M1 1.55m Ducati competition with a prize money of 51100€ and the 10th of July with the M1 1.50m H&H competition in the Grandes Ecuries Arena.
Reason 2: Exciting performances
The Masters of Chantilly will be hosting some renowned equestrian artists as Mario Luraschi and Clémence Faivre. They will share their new show: Plaisir Equestre. Clémence Faivre and her lusitano horses have toured the world and been invited to the best international stages.
She grew up in Gouvieux, north of Paris. Passionate about horses and cinema, Mario Luraschi trained her in equestrian arts. Now, both perform all over the world in the most exciting performances.
Reason 3: The perfect location
Not only the Masters of Chantilly is located only 40 minutes away from Paris, but also the venue is easily accessed for people who arrive by train, car or plane.
Chantilly reminds of an enchanted town and is considered the capital of the horse. The place is filled with history and heritage, and the Domaine de Chantilly is an exceptional site that includes the Château and the Great Stables.
The Great Stables contain more than two hundred objects, evoking the importance of the relationship between horse and rider since the start of civilization. The equestrian art in this venue pictures the evolution of the horse and horse breeds in the world, the role of the horse in relation to power, war, hunting and, obviously also sport.
